Abstract

The administrative Law of Francophone African states in recent decades has a new philosophy of administration, more open ti citizens and more protective of their rights. One of the defining feature of this evolution is the demand for administrative tranparency, which has led to the affirmation of the right of access to administrative information. This study examines how the right of access to administrative information is structured within these states. While primarily legal in nature, the study also adopts a comparative and, to some extend, a sociological approach. Moving beyond mere description to an analytical and critical perspective, the study examines the framework governing the right of access to administrative information through a dual lens : defining its substantive content and outlining the parameters of its implimentation.
